There was one in the bed and little one said "roll over!"

She did it! Today Adalayde rolled over from her back to her belly and held her head up high and gave me a HUGE smile! She was SO proud of herself. She has been working on rolling over for about a week or so, and now that she figured out how to do it, she doesn't want to stop! Changing her diaper, she wants to roll over, laying in my lap, she wants to roll over...I am so proud of my baby Adalayde!

Here's a video of her watching A Toy Story...she loves it! Listen closely, you might be able to hear her hickups...she just ate and we all know how much she likes her bots!

7 Weeks and 13 lbs!

That's right...our little angel is 7 weeks old today!! I can't believe how fast she's growing and how many new things she's able to do! We've added a slideshow of pics at the top of our blog so you can see how Adalayde has changed over the weeks. I'm super excited that this weekend is a "real" weekend for me. No football on Saturday and Sunday...a first since before Addy was born! We're getting ready to go food shopping and Addy is always up for a stroll. Off to drop the dog off with Grampy and Nana B.!

I think Nilla is finally getting used to having a little sister! :)

Childbirth School Graduates!

Ashleigh and I are very excited that we've graduated from birthing class! We received our diploma yesterday (Thursday June 25th) and we're looking into breast feeding classes at the general. I can't believe how knowledgable Elaine (our nurse) was...she answered every question with responses that covered every possible situation. We are very lucky that she shared her time and her very very dry sense of humor with us. Aside from the classroom, Ashleigh and I got the chance to visit the nursery, a recovery room, and a birth room. It was very interesting to be able to see the rooms before we actually go into the hospital for the birth of our baby. There is something comforting about being in those rooms and getting a feel for our surroundings.

On a separate note, Ashleigh and I visited Dr. Edwards yesterday and he gave us a clean bill of health. The baby's heart rate was great, Ashleigh's blood pressure was great, and she's measuring 2 weeks ahead of our due date...this doesn't necessarily mean that the baby will come early...it just means that we are going to have a big healthy baby! Lucky us!

Hopefully I'll have a video or two uploaded soon...

Love,

Ashleigh and Jarrod

Moving Day!

Today was moving day for the Brown family! We moved our bedroom upstairs and put in a little den area downstairs where our bedroom used to be. Abe and Auntie Courtney came over to help, and so did Papa, we had to shave a little off the top of the stairway to get our boxspring upstairs! As you can see from the picture, Adalayde is getting big! Mommy feels wonderful though and can't wait to hold her in her arms instead of just her belly. Daddy did a lot of building today; the lamb swing, the pack and play, and did a few other things around the house.

Here is a picture of the doorway that Papa had to skillsaw out!

60 more days and counting until our due date, 2 more birthing classes, and lots and lots of happy thoughts about meeting our new baby!
